AUSTRALIAN BIRDING SAFARIS is run by two experienced Queensland birding guides – Ken Cross and Steve Grainger. We intend to design and run non-smoking group tours for birders and naturalists within Australia and New Zealand. Our birding tours are affordable, fun and fascinating. Our tours will focus on the birds of course but they will also feature other aspects of natural history and history.
Our tours can be categorised as following;
BIRDING SAFARIS –
Safaris, by definition, involves taking a journey. Our safaris often involve starting and finishing in different cities and involve often considerable travel. Australia is obviously a huge country and sometimes there is little alternative to travelling long distances to see some of our special landscapes and their fauna.
CAPITAL BIRDING -
Scheduled 7 to 14 - day safaris that start and finish in selected capital and key cities in Australia and New Zealand. These trips focus on habitats and species within a relatively short radius of the cities.
BRISBANE BIRDING BREAKS -
Short tours of several day’s duration [5 or 6 days] – Brisbane to Brisbane.
